    Electric dryer
My Kenmore electric dryer is about 20 years old (Model #67832791). It was making a bad quealing noise like a bearing was going out but still worked. The next time we did laundry, it would quit in mid cycle (without setting off any buzzers). Sometimes it would restart immediately and sometimes we would have to wait. We had some previous problems with lint in the dryer vent so I completely disconnected the vent without any change. I suspect it thinks it is overheating but do not know what to check. I don't think the squealing noise is related but am mentioning it just in case it could be. I do have a volt/ohm meter and know how to safely work around hot wires.

Google your model # and you should find a manual or diagram of your dryer Thwere are several sensors which could cause your problem.
