    Wireless Network Conncectivity Issues
I recently bought an Asus G7 Laptop with an Atheros Wireless Network Adapter. The wireless connection was working fine, but stopped working about two days ago.

I have turned the device off, then on again, but when I diagnose the issue through network connections it still tells me the device is turned off.

I am not sure what else to do at this point. I have tried everything I can think of. I even tried restoring the system to an earlier point.

I am sure it's not the router because I am getting a good connection on my playstation 3 and the hardwire to my desktop is also working fine.

Ok this is what I did. I manually turned off the wireless adapter with the switch on the right-hand side of the computer. Then I rebooted the computer and turned the switch on. I was then able to get a wireless connection. Not sure why I had to reboot in order for it to reset.

I can think of two possible quick fixes:

You may want to try and update the drivers. On many laptops you will find either a hard or soft switch for your network adaptor.

The computer probably needed to update the driver. I am glad your problem is resolved.
