    Father's rights to his child and restraining orders
    I have a friend who has a restraining order against him by the mother of his newborn child. She has stated that the law is protecting them from him. The restraining order was ordered before the child was born. Does the father have rights to seeing his child? Or any rights at all while there is still a restraining order?

    Does a father have custody rights to his child if he has a restraining order against the mother of his child?

    Yes he has rights. What is the basis of the restraining order? Has he been to court for custody and support yet?
