Child support Iowa for parent that has a job and the other don't
We were together for @10 years and had a 81/2 year old boy when we brokeup (he cheated on me with 3 women that I nknow of ), he is behind in chlid support of @3700 and he was working he got in a accident when he was driving for work and he was getting workmen cop and when that ran out he didn't go back to work he didn't pass his drug test. The childsupport was at 340 a month and after the workmens cop ran out he flied to lower itt it went down to 50 a month and he wasn't paying that so then child support was going to take his license and they had a hearing that I wasn't told of that said that he can pay 10 a month so he can keep his license . Child suport said that I didn't need to be there.and that $10 a month is better than nothing. He is able to work he just doesn't , he lives with a woman that pays for his life style and he has a truck that worth @10,000 that is all he has .now can they take his truck for what he owes or do I just wait to see if I get the $10 a month?(he is 55 years old)

"They" won't take his truck - "they" don't want it and have no means to dispose of it. Have you thought about getting a Judgment against him instead of allowing a collection arm of the Government to do so (which appears to be what is going on).

You can always go back to Court and attempt to raise child support IF you can prove what you say.

Has he no income at all?

If he is claiming disability then he should be applying for SSDI. That way the children can get it also.

Then you can push to have him held in contempt and put in jail.
