My aunt gives my cousin an ultimatum when he thinks he wants to quit working and going to school. He can either follow her house rules (working and going to school, no drugs period), or he can move out and get his own place and make his own rules. He gets his act back together pretty quickly.

Yup give her a choice, your rules, your house.

If she doesn't agree to this it's time for her to find alternative housing.

She's an adult, she's making decisions for herself, one's that could affect her adversely for the rest of her life and she needs to understand the gravity of the situation.

    Time for some tough love.

Any body thought of asking why she on drugs in the 1st place... when I lived at home I was so high I had my own cloud zip code because of the stress of home life, the drug makes you not want to do any thing but get high, it takes over your life before you know it. So find the reasons why then seek the right help but if its her friends are doing it it'll be so much harder for her

I think there must be more to this than what has been stated so far.

What has her life been like the past few years. Did she quit school? How long has she been doing drugs and what drugs is she doing. Is her father in the picture? Are there any mental health issues going on here?

What have you tried so far. This didn't happen overnight.

Did she drop out of school? Have you though about taking her to rehab?
