Metal wall stub 1 1/4 doesn't line up with 1 1/2 sink drain tube PVC
Bathroom sink tube is 1 1/4, stub from wall is 1 1/2 metal and had a trap that lined up with old sink tube. New sink tube extends to almost meet old but is about 3/4" off in alignment and is different diameter from the trap. Stub has downward elbow on the end. Is flexible pvc trap tube the answer? Had to get metal tube to connect to metal elbow from wall to make the connection but so far it leaks. Also I think the water has to go too far upward to exit the horizontal stub into the wall without a problem. Sink tube is PVC. What connections will work?

I think he has to wait 24 hrs as a member to do so. Use Go advanced/Manage attachments to do so after 24 hrs as a member.

In the mean time check out the use of 22 1/2 degree elbows. They can make nearly anything line up.

You may have to cut off or remove the existing elbow at the wall and couple with a flexible or Fernco coupling.

    Pics are best.

Or can I use a regular 90 deg elbow? Also, I've been trying to figure out what kind of shot-off valves to use for the toilet and sinks. I'm assuming an angle valve but not sure which ones are for what type hoses. Do I need to stub out with a threaded nipple that the valve screws onto? Jeeez, so...

New vanity: trap won't reach wall drain stub [ 3 Answers ]

We replaced a vanity top and sink with a new vanity top having an integrated sink. The new sink is offset horizontally about 1 inch from the old one. Turns out the old sink was at the limit for trap reach; the new one is over further still, so it seems impossible to line up the j-bend portion...

How to make J tube fit from drain to wall pipe [ 1 Answers ]

Putting in a new sink in bathroom and the J tube isn't quite long enough. Also, the wall pipe fits the J tube, but the drain is too small of a diameter.
