Do I have to connect the common wire (blue) if the new thermostate has no place
I am replaceing a 5 wire thermostat. The last one was also digital and had a blue wire connected to the C, or common. There is no place to hook this wire up to the new thermostate. What do I do with the wire. Being nieve I don't want to just shove this in the wall.

Label the wire for the next guy and get a very small wire nut at Radio Shack and cap the wire so it won't short to anything.
