    Legal summons for a subcontractor debt
    I was served a summons from my plumbers attorney for the balance remaining on a job. I do not deny the debt, but I have no funds to pay with at this time. What are my options? This is in nc

    Call and work out a payment plan or show up and accept the debt and figure how to pay for it. But by now they are going to add the fees for the lawyer to the debt so it can go up a lot if you don't take care of it.
