    Status change question
    Since 2000-2008 my status was H1. In Sep 30 2009 it changed to F1. I am single with 2 kids. I have education expenses for 2009. How do I file 2009 tax return. Do I need to do a dual return or am I considered a resident for the full year 2009 since I passed the substantial presence test.
    Quetsions
    1. do I file as resident hoh or nonresident?
    2. I own a home do I get to take the deductions if I have to do a dual status return?
    3. what is residency termination date? I read something about this in pub 519 does this apply to me and if so can I file as full year resident for 2009?

    For 2009 also, you will file resident tax return.
