My blower/fan/motor will not come on all the time especially over night. What's wrong?
It from TPI Corp - 240 V Furnace F Series Model Number 2 1 F 12 T F 01 - I replaced the motor myself 2 years ago along with the Capacitor. Then it acted up again about 1 year ago and I replaced the Electric Heat Sequencer (boy was that a challenge!). The problem is that the fan stop working in the middle of the night at times. I wake up to a very cold house and to make matters worse I've been sick each time. I'm a single mom and cannot afford to pay some to work on it so I do it myself. (this scares my friends) But so far so good and I feel I'm doing a great job and saving money. The heating elements seem to be working. I hear them clicking on (4 of them I believe) but then the fan will not come on. Usually if I open up the unit by taking the panel off I tap this and that and touch all the wires and then it works again. So at the moment it is working but I know it won't be long before it stops working again. PLEASE HELP! What needs to be replaced next? Thanks. Cheryl Ingram Gig Harbor WA
