    Always begin with the caveat: No wood is termite proof.

    Bamboo, Red Cedar, Yellow Poplar, and Mangrove are the "least" susceptible to termite degradation but I'd still trust brick more.

    Soil treatments for subterranean termites have proven their cost effectiveness for decades. The newer termiticides are proving very long lasting, as well.

    I have flutes (musical instruments) made of bamboo. A Couple of them have some kind of black insects inside that keep eating and dropping wood pieces. How can I get rid of them?
