    Recessed lights and Aluminum Wiring??
I have aluminum wiring throughout my house as it was built in 1971. I want to put 6 recessed lights in my kitchen which has 2 different overhead recepticles right now. I will add 3 lights on each receptacle. Is this going to work? I don't want to burn my house down!

If you currently have a fixture with 3 bulbs in it and your going to change it to 3 fixtures with 3 bulbs then everything is pretty much the same. It all equals out.

Thanks so much. I should make it clear that right now we have track lighting connected to each receptacle and have three track lights on each one. Is that still the same? We had wanted to add one more light on one side but if it's too much we won't. It's not a big deal! We're just trying to keep our home up to date so we won't have so much to do when it comes time to sell it in our older age!
    Thanks again!

If it is traditional track lighting then it could be one of two different kinds. One is full voltage and the other low voltage. Do you know which ones they are?
