OK I know but my cat is sick
Is there a cat form of parvo. If you are not familiar with parvo it is a dog disease, that makes it hard for dogs to move and their neck gets stuck sideways. Please help my cat recently had kittens and I:confused:  don't want it to spread. If you know any diseases please tell me what they are if they fit theses symptoms. Thank you:confused:

    Feline Parvo (Panleukopenia Virus)

This virus is similar in nature to the dog's parvo virus, however is only infectious to cats. Most cats affected are young and unvaccinated. In vaccinated cats, the disease is virtually non-existent.

The virus is spread in saliva, urine, and feces. Areas infected with feline panleukopenia need to be disinfected with a bleach solution.

Treatment of affected cats is supportive, supplying fluids and antibiotics to the patient. Recovery depends upon the severity of infection.
Prevention through routine vaccination is extremely effective.

Yes, its called feline panleukapenia. And yes it can kill her if it goes untreated or she is too weak to fight it. She will need fluids and depending on how far into being ill she is, she will need intensive care. THe biggest problem with cats is that they are in a way "naturally" hypoglycemic, so when they don't eat for longer than a few days they go into hepatic lipidosis and often times the complication of both does not go over well. Often times we have to place something called a PEG tube or an E-tube into them to feed them through so they do not continue to decline due to malnourishment. I don't know how far you are willing to go with this but you should see a veterinarian so she can be diagnosed properly, vomiting and diareah can be many things!
    Good luck!

PS if your mom cat has it unfortunately it is too late the kittens have it as well.
Sorry, they just don't have immune systems capable fighting off the disease. Chances are they were born with it.
