I have not taken the tub liner out yet but am having a difficult time removing the drain. Do I tear the liner out first or somehow unscrew the drain. This appears to be a 32 x 48 liner. The walls are tile above the liner.

We had a plumber come out to tell us that our upstairs shower does not have a shower pan installed. Apparently the shower has leaked before we bought the house 5+years ago. The shower is cultured marble or maybe fiberglass on the floor. Is there any way I can correct this problem myself as money...
