    Toilet gurgles when flushed
    Toilet gurgles when flushed and two basement floor drains the water starts rising anybody have any idea what could be causing this tahnks johno

    Is this a septic system or city sewer? Could be blockage down stream of the floor drains, or if septic system could be problem there. Good luck

    Yep, if you are on a septic system, have that checked first. If on city sewer, you will need to have the sewer augered, because there is a partial clog somewhere downstream of the floor drains, most likey outside the house.

Every time we flush the toilet, we hear gurgle sounds coming from the bathtup and the water is slow draining from the bowl. I can't see any visible proplem with the vent pipe. Any idea what's causing this proplem? Herb.

This problem just recently started and after several fluhes the water is drained from the trap in the bathtub drain and we get sewer gas. The toilet is about 5-6 feet from the toilet. This is in a 50 year old house, but the bathroom was up dated over 10 years ago.
