    No spark on dodge avenger
If you're here this morning I'll run another one by you. I got a 95 dodge avenger with no spark. Had a bad ecu so I replaced it. Now I can pull engine codes but they were no help. Customer says cel is always on. Codes were for a bad intake temp sensor and for radiator fan switch circuit open. I replaced crank position sensor and distributor thinking it was the cam sensor inside the dist. still no spark.

I would have done what you did, too. Do you have power to the distributor? Have you replaced the coil pack?

There is power to the dist. 12 volts. The coil pack is new from a running vehicle. Owner says he was on interstate when engine died and would not start back. I'm going to take the ignition apart today and see f it's pitted or OK. I'm thinking the cam and crank sensors may need to be synced

Unknown. It's a mitsubishi 2.5 in the 95 dodge avenger if that helps.

My gut is that the ignition control module in the distributor is bad. If you can install another distributor, the car will likely run fine.

Many people on this site say they replaced their distributor. Often, it means one from salvage or an aftermarket product. Depending on the vehicle, many of them don't work. You be the judge whether you have confidence in the replacement.

    Might check the coil.
See if it has fire coming in and going out
