This guy that I like has told me that he loves me and how important I am to him, but I can never make the words I love you too come out of my mouth. Our relationship is long distance and I haven't seen him in a couple of years when recently we started catching up and his previous girlfriend really broke his heart by cheating on him. He makes me smile and easily makes me laugh, but there is no way either of us could actually see each other in the near future. There are a couple of other guys in my hometown that I like, but I don't know if they like me in the same way. These other guys are always in the back of my mind and there is that optimism present, and I think that is one reason why I cannot tell the other guy that I love him as well, because I could not bear to hurt him as his past girlfriend did. We haven't talked in a month or so, I try to get him out of my head, but everything reminds me of him and sometimes I dream of him and I wake up the next morning and I want to text or send him a message but I always save it as a draft for later. I am so confused! Any advice would be appreciated immensely.

I think you continue the no contact,there are too many red flags-he's broken up with his ex and should work on healing from the breakup.
Another red flag is the longdistance,never an easy situation.

I would suggest you date and get to know guys in your own area.

You don't say it to him because you don't mean it, or feel it.

He is a big boy, and should be able to deal with the truth, and you have no commitment other than friends to him. So stop worrying about his feelings, and get on with your life.

Why make this a big drama?
