    Salaried employee rules laws
    My wife is a salaried employee at her company and I've always been union. She was included in the OT category for a short time so they changed her title to (get more free work out of her and avoid paying OT).
    ~~~ She works 5 days a week, 8-9 hrs a day and then they can force her to work one or both days on the weekend - basically for free. She is on a 5 + 2 + 5 stretch right now for 12 in a row.
    Where is the friggin line at what this company can do?
    They forced her to go 120 miles away for the 2 weekend days, for free, without mileage, without any compensation at all. In fact - today was a 11-1/2 hr workshift for $0.00. I want to sock someone but don't know how many days in a row of slave labor is legal.
    Take it up with your state department of labor. I don't know, but they might view your wife's employment as a subtrufuge to avoid the overtime laws.
