How would American society respond to a public display of telekinesis?
I want to go out in public and not worry about showing my psychic powers in front of people. I feel like hiding my powers from other people (even my closest friends and family) is hiding a big part of my 'true self'. Yet I don't want to endanger myself or anyone else. I've read somewhere before that there are certain types of religions that will punish those not of religious authority (or anyone for that matter) who publicly demonstrate, acclaim, or even are accused of utilizing such powers. As I previously mentioned, I have no intentions of causing any grief and/or endangerment to anyone. I feel incomplete of my 'true self' by not showing my 'gifts'. One final emphasis, I'm not deluded, insane, cruel, or power-hungry. In fact, I'm much more mature than that. Based on how I'm expressing myself through these texts, my maturity should be quite evident. So should I use my 'gifts' publicly, or continue to hide them from all other people? Thank you for your time, patience and whatever answer you supply.

    People would sh*t bricks

    It isn't normal to society

    They'd scream
Others would be like me and stare and say "WOAH! DO IT AGAIN!"

Connect up with a police department or two to help them solve crimes, and your abilities will become accepted and prized. That's how some psychics have become accepted. Or use your psychics powers in the futures market to make money for charity. The word will get out. If you put your psychic powers to work for good, no one will condemn you.

Telekinesis is the ability to move physical matter with your mind. I'm not sure why you would feel the need to demonstrate this skill to the American public.

What did you have in mind?

However, there are many University research departments that study the human brain and its capacity, and I'm sure they would be very interested in hearing from you.

Most countries also have Psychic Associations which are generally run by very sensible people - you could also ask their advice.

Not only should you go public, but you should teach others to use this wonderful gift. If you could teach just 3 others how and they teach others, in the future one could see thousands of active telekinetics across the globe. Perhaps this is the key to a new future.
