Whether they are married the nationality of the child is English 50% and Polish 50%.

Are you wondering in which nationality to raise the child considering they are not married? Is that your question?

In case you are not legally married, the baby is Polish, not British. Having the father's name on birth certificate does not mean the baby automatically get British citizenship.

What you should do is have the baby's father report "birth of British citizen" to the nearest British Embassy, so the baby will have dual citizenship.

Nationality is something you cannot change. Citizenship is something you can change. The OP mentioned NOTHING about citizenship, and as I said citizenship and nationality are two totally different things.
