Some years ago after I had dreamed about a person who had passed away my wife told me that that means that I should pray for them, living or dead.
That such dreams are ofter appeals or indications that person need spiritual help through prayer.
Since then I have so prayed.
What reminder me about that was the other night I dreamed about a long time friend and his wife who had passed away.
I prayed in Jesus name for them.
:confused:Do you believe in that and such prayers that they are answered?:confused:

I believe the Lord lets us know when someone needs prayer and I also know he speaks to us in many ways and dreams are one way. Bless you
I see prayers answered when I look how far I've come in this life. I have great children a wonderful husband.

The song, "Amazing Grace", always reminds me how he answered the prayers of people like my wonderful Dad and mom and others who prayed for me when I was young, away from home. "Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come Twas GRACE that brought me safe thus far and GRACE will lead me home".

Who knows maybe it was meant for me to see this post because I need prayer. The Lord works in mysterious ways. God Bless You:):):)

I guess I am sort of ignorant Fred. Please explain to me where in scriptures that we are taught to pray for the dead? What I believe is that you were for some reason reminded of that person. Now if God quickened you to pray for the living that is a totally different question.

If we have dreams of those who have died and we pray for them,it probably means in someway you miss them and maybe you had questions about their relationship with God. I think and I don't know as much as you all do. Maybe those dreams are telling you not worry about them , to pray for members of their family who do not know the Lord as their Saviour.

I will pray for you that God blesses you in all ways for all days.
By the way Jesus said that the dead are really alive in God. He mentioned several people who people though to be long dead ans that God is their God. "The God of the living"
I would give the bible passage but I must get new bible software because my new computer Windows 7 will not run older software that ran fine on Windows XP.
