I keep getting the above error message when trying to run a plugin file called play_vst.dll in programs such as Sibelius, or sequencers. I can not find out what this message means or how to fix it. I am not able to use the plug-in's software in the programs that I mentioned as a result of whatever error that is producing the error message. Help?
I am running Windows vista Home premium on a custom built computer.

Is there any more than -7 in the code #?

Was this recently installed?

Has this worked before in vista and anything changed since last time working properly?

Version 6 seems to the one compatible with vista

Try right clicking on the icon and choose the option
-Run as Administrator

If that does not help, right click on the icon and go to properties and then the compatiblitly tab and choose the option to run in XP SP2 mode and then apply

Try to start again

See if that helps at all

It has never worked in my copy of Vista. It has been installed for about a year. I have friends who run the same OS and they do not have this issue.

Which Icon should I click on? The one for the program that is running the plugin (e.g. Sibelius)?

Whichever icon you are using to start the app and causing error to come up

Ok Well I did try those suggestions and unfortunately they did not seem to work. Any other ideas?
