    A bench warrant is just that, a warrant for your arrest, you will be picked up and put in jail, then of course you can normally post bail.

    This is either done because
    1. you did not show up to a hearing you were ordered to attend

    2. you got too far behind and the filed to hold you in contempt of course

    3. child support enforcement have set rules to arrest if you get so far behind.

    I had some employees who often got arrested, they would hold them for a few weeks or a couple months, and then release them if they showed they were going to pay
