Can you get an increase of SSI for child support
I receive SSI payments in the amount of $126.00 a month as childsupport from my sons father. I like to know if I can ask for an increase or upward modification due to the amount being so low. My son is 15 years old and recently it was determine that the father was collecting SSI benefits. I was able to go to the local social security to place him on fathers SSI and was told the above amount would be awarded every month until the age of 18. I have a court date with the father on 2/16/2010 for mediation. The father is in the arrears for an undisclosed amount due to I don't have a clue how much he is in the arrears. I stopped checking years ago. Is it possible that he can pay out of his SSI benefit for more childsupport?

No, you only get an annual adjustment, except for this year we didn't.
