    Lack of motivation
Hi there. I have been battling my weight for a long time. I'm about 5 foot 6, female, and my range is about 195.
I have a self-confidence issue and an issue with myself image. My s/o says he doesn't care what I look like, that he fell in love with me for who I am on the inside, and I appreciate that a lot but I can't love myself like he loves me.
I carry most of my weight around my stomach and upper thighs. My wrists are teeny so to me it looks weird.
My issue is a total lack of motivation. I know what I need to do to lose weight, and I try to get into a diet or exercise routine and I end up just quitting. I'm out of shape so I find most exercise too hard on me so I give up, and when it comes to dieting I get bad cravings.
I will eliminate all snacks from my house, but sometimes my cravings are so bad I will go in my car and drive 5 minutes to get a chocolate bar or something.
I eat when I'm not even hungry, I think it's more of a way to pass the time, and I know I shouldn't be doing it but I can never seem to stop.
Does anyone have any help or suggestions for me?

There is a great variety of dried fruit on the market, there a great way to get your sweet fix, also nuts and seeds.

Fill up of lots of veg during the day, drink water! And lots of it.

As for exercise, instead of driving to the shop,walk...

Dance.. in the kitchen while making the dinner, during the ads while watching TV..

Take the stairs when ever possible.

Clench those buttocks, get into the habit of sitting up straight and pulling in your tummy muscles.

Eat a breakfast, your body needs energy, eat regular small meals through out the day.

Take out an old pair of jeans that used to fit,or a dress, aim to get back into the jeans or dress.

Post an unflattering picture on the fridge,it might help when ever you feel the need to snack.

Write a list of all your good points, your hair, your eyes, your honest, your smart, you love your family, you're a good friend, write it all out and post it somewhere you will see it everyday.

Start a mantra. 'i am beautiful,I am smart,I love me'

Fill two water bottles and use them as weights to tone your arms.

Jump up and down, easy to do.

My motivation ended up being my doctor telling me that if I continued to gain weight I was looking at diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiac issues and on and on. I was actually still in denial for a couple of months after that before I realized I did not want to deal with chronic health issues at 36.
