    Adobe software locks up my computer when I try to download a pdf from a web site.
    Adobe software locks up my computer when I try to download a pdf from a web site. I'm running Windows XP Home edition, and IE. This problem just started recently.

    Here's the (counter intuitive Adobe 9.1) lock up fix:

    Open Adobe, go to the top bar and select “Edit”, then “Preferences…”, “Internet”, unselect the check in the “Display PDF in Browser” and finally select the "OK" button.
