    If the evaporator coil is not cold enough, it cannot remove moisture, and it will stop removing moisture at its above dewpoint temperature.

    The question you asks seems to be simple but it is actually very complex.
    As a rule of thumb the coil has to be 20 degrees or more below the room air in which the evaporator coil is located.

    Study your psychrometric chart and use it to obtain the exact answer for each set of conditions.
