    99 honda accord stalling
1999 Honda Accord V6 fully loaded, first noticed problem when vehicle stalled while driving 100kph on freeway, the lights on dashboard all came on for a split second but resumed operation almost immediately. I did not have to pull over or restart. Noticed many times after this that when starting the car, after it was warm due to driving earlier, that it would turn over and die. Approximately after 4 or 5 attempts car would start and all is well. Now this vehicle has stalled 2 more times on the freeway while driving 100kph but both times the vehicle did not resume operation and I had to pull over, and do the 4 or 5 attempts to get it started. This morning it stalled as I was turning a corner, but, like the first incident, it resumed operation and I did not have to pull over. I have had the ignition recall problem addressed approx 3 years ago. Any ideas? Please.

Replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil should solve the problem. I recommend replacing these problematic components every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. 10 minute job.

No, we did not as the honda parts dealer we dealt with advised us that he has not ever sold the ICM to anyone but that the ignition switch was more likely the problem

The comment, above, lead me away from suspecting the ignition switch.
In the U.S. the repair I suggested is likely performed several times every day at most Honda dealers--it's that common. It's one of their "bread and butter" procedures. Replacing ignition switches is less common, especially on Hondas less than 15 years old. It's amazing your ignition switch failed again so soon. Glad to hear, however, that Honda fixed it for you.

You never know these days, but yes the ignition switch failed again, we had to buy the part from honda and installed it ourselves, $105 for the part, thanks again... $300 if they did it!
