Can 220v appliance run on 170v
I live overseas in a remote 220v area where by the time the energy comes out there it can drop as low as 150v. The normal voltage is around 190v but as I said it can fluxuate tremendously. I have step down converter to make part of my house to use 110v. My question is would it be better to buy a wash machine for clothes that is 110v or stick with the 220v? And what kind of effect would less than 220v have on a 220v machine? Any other wise advice would be appreicated:)!
