Roommate problem
Last October, my roommate had his girlfriend move in with him without telling me. My wife (my girlfriend at that time) was visiting me from out of state. His girlfriend has turned our apartment into her own. What I mean is, she just decorated it without my consent, move her stuff, etc etc. Not only that she has moved my stuff so she can put her on it. She is very messy. Plus she is getting more than her fair share here. I cannot tolerate anymore. Now I just renewed our lease September. What is the best thing I can do? Have her evicted? She isn't on the lease. She cannot assume the lease, she can't afford it. She is not paying any rent. Roommate still pays for her. She got evicted from her last apartment.

That's the thing with roommates. I had this same problem about 4 years ago. My roommates girlfriend would come over and stay the night 2-3 times a week then it became every day. She was doing laundry, showers, electricity, etc... One day I came home and they had an entire World of Warcraft network set up in the living room and were playing for days. I finally confronted him about it and said that she was spending too much time here and that she needed to pay rent. He agreed, apologized and she started paying rent. That lasted for about 2-3 months and the house finally got so crowded with one bathroom that they decided to move out altogether.
Tell your roommate that it bothers you. If you are OK with her staying there, ask for rent and utilities. Everyone should pull their weight. Be cool though. Situations like this can turn ugly real fast if you go about it the wrong way. Stick to your guns or move out!
You have a wife and should be living with her. Just the two of you.

Of course talking to your roommate is best. And if you two can work it out, great. But I have to ask, what does your landlord and your lease say? Does it allow for people to move in without the consent of your landlord?

I have asked to divide the rent in 3 and they refused. Like I said, his girlfriend cannot afford it. If my wife moved in, my wife and I can pay for it without problem. We don't even need a roommate. My problem though is if I asked my roommate to leave there is a possibility that he'll sue me in the future. If I leave, same thing might happen. The guy can't afford to live on his own with his girlfriend. Only 3 adults are allowed on here on the lease. I signed this lease when I was a bachelor, not knowing I was going to be married soon.

Who refused to divide the rent? Your roommate and his girlfriend? Or the landlord? You still haven't said what your landlord has to say about it. If it were my landlord, by the terms of my lease, she'd have called the room mate and told him he was in violation of the lease and the girlfriend needs to go. All you've old us is that three adults are allowed according to the lease. Do all three adults have to sign it? And where is your wife? Are you two not living together?
