My girlfriend recently asked for space, which is what I did not give her. I continued to text (not as much) and call once a day. Then one night, I drank way too much, and called her repeatedly, she told me to leave her alone and to make a long story short, she got pissed and then broke up with me a few days later. She said that all she asked for was space and that I didn't give it to her and that night when I called her way too much, that pushed her over the edge. On Thursday, she text me asking why I didn't leave her alone, when that is all she asked for. I text her back and forth for a while and she told me that we were broke up and that maybe in the future things might work out, but for now she didn't want to see me. So, I told her I would like to see her in person to say goodbye, and she text back saying that why would it be goodbye? Are we never going to see each other again? I told her that it seemed that that decision was up to her at this point. On Friday, she called me out of the blue and asked me if I put a note on her car, (this would be impossible since I was teaching class all day long) I didn't get mad, all I said was oh, you got a note from somebody? So, how is your day? And continued from there. I never once got mad or showed that I missed her, I did tell her that I was sorry for the mistakes that I have made, but I was only human and we all make mistakes but at least I was man enough to admit my mistakes and move on. I have since quit drinking because the only reason that I calle dher and acted like a jackass was because of booze. Anyway, On Saturday night I got a text from her telling me to come and meet her because she had my extra set of keys that she wanted to return to me. So, I met her and we talked for about 5 minutes, she told me she was going to a party that night and going toIdaho to visit a "friend" next weekend, all I said was cool, sounds like fun, should be a blast! I don't know if she was trying to get me mad or a reaction or what. It just seems kind of weird that on Friday she was so mad and didn't want to see me at all, but on Saturday, she was nice and cordial to me. I haven't text or called her since, I, just wondering what to do and if I even have a chance.

There really doesn't sound like too much hope for this, not very healthy either, since it sounds like neither of you know how to let things simmer down for a bit and approach a situation calmly. You should ask yourself why you want to get back together with her. Weigh out your reasons; doesn't seem like there is much of a foundation to build upon, especially after this. Sounds like it would be best to move on, unless the BOTH of you really want to make something work.

Since I posted my last message, A couple of my ex's friends have contacted me and told me that they were sorry about what happened and that my ex needs to realize what she is throwing away. They think that we were made for each other (as do I!) and they don't want to see us apart, they think it can and will work and they offered to talk to my ex and try and put some sense in her head. I told them that I really would like for them to talk to her, but not because I want them to, because they want to. I don't want them to mention that they got into contact with me. I would feel like I was going behind her back. I am giving her space and have not contacted her since Tuesday. Should I let her friends talk to her?
