    Trade in accounting
    We want to take trade ins as is trading in a used car for a newer one. How can we show this on the invoice so it will reflect in the appropriate accounts

    Treat them in the same way as motor vehicle purchases but call them Trade-in Account.
    It is like buying a new asset.
