    Kitchen faucet screen blocking water
Last week I took off the screwy part at the bottom of my faucet and screwed on a water filter. I've been doing this for years - on this faucet for six months. The filter was on for a few days, and I took it off tonight and rescrewed on the faucet piece. However, now water is spewing out from the seam! There is some water flow getting through, and there is no apparent mineral build-up. This piece was stored in a dry - almost empty - drawer next to the sink while it was not in use. I've looked everywhere online for a diagram of how the screen pieces should be placed inside (although I don't think they are wrong - I've never taken them out). The faucet is six months old and is a Pegasus faucet from Home Depot.

"Check to make sure the rubber washer is not missing." Not only that but if any other piece is in wrong the water will exit out the air intake ports. Since aerators are so inexpensive just purchase a new one. Since some aerators have male threads and others female threads check before you buy. Good luck, Tom
