    Water Well problems
I have a problem in my house with water pressure the farther you get from the well. Also, my hot water works in the side of the house closest to the hot water heater and very little at the fartherest point. I have a water well and the pump seems to be running all the time. The tank is 3 or 4 years old. I don't want to burn up my pump. Any suggestions?

You have described three problems. Let's address the last one. Let your pump pump up to pressure until it cuts off. Make sure no water is being used. The system should hold pressure as observed on the pressure gauge. Check that, then get back with what you see.

My pump was running all the time and would not build up pressure. I finally called the well repairman and found that I had a crack in my pipe about 20 ft. down. He replaced that pipe and all is working great now.
    Thanks for your help.
