    Ceiling fan switch
I have two ceiling fans exactly the same. Both are 3 speed. One lost all but fast speed. And off. I put in a new 4 wire switch wiring exactly the way the old one was wired. After that I only had 1 speed-fast with no off. I put the old switch back in and am back where I started from. Fast and off only. The switches have the same part # E198635. Thcode on the other side is the same LJY280A. I did notice the 1,2,3 were in different places but I did try all colors by number and then matched the other fan by location. Nothing helped.
    Any ideas??

Put the original switch back in as it was originally wired. Try replacing the capacitor.
