Yeah, our old next door neighbour had an Oscar, those big tropical fish. He used to buy cheap goldfish to feed to him :(

    Night M.

I'll charm you yet my fine friend. :)

Yes, good luck with the job Shazzy. I think you'll do great, just don't take too many of the animals home with you. That would be my problem. ;)

Jennifer, I hope that if you are still reading this that you can now understand how much we care about animals and the people who own them. On the pet boards, it is the animals and their welfare that has to be the focus. The dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, budgies, snakes, bunnies, tarantulas, goldfish, beta, etc. can't speak for themselves. They need humans to be their voices.

I actually hope that you have given serious thought to what has been said and that you are ready to be a dog owner. I also hope that you do look into the various rescues and animal shelters. You might find the perfect animal for you that may be nothing like you thought you wanted. You may find one that you need as much as it needs you. THAT is the special bond with a shelter/rescue animal.

    Good luck.

Sorry guys. I had to close the thread, it got WAY off track. So much so that a clean up was impossible.

shazamataz agrees: Most of the answers were related to the OP buying from a pet store, I admit there were a few off track posts though, myself included.
Most of them were... until the last 4 or 5 pages... We got off on bunnies... snakes...

It just went too far off base to keep it open.

Maltipoo (7 weeks) won't eat! [ 3 Answers ]

I just got my 7 week old Matipoo today. She seems very shy and hides her face if you talk to her. She hasn't eaten anything ALL day! I gave her some Pedialite from a syringe and she drank it all and she also had a few sips of water. The guy who sold her to me gave me a bag of food that she had been...
