    Strawberries
Why do strawberries grow mold so quick? Like for example I buy strawberries oneday then the next day they have white fuzz on them. So my main questions are...
    1. Why do they grow mold so quick?
    2. What's that white fuzz?
    Thanks in advance.

I think it's the way you are storing them. Separate them out, and keep them cool and dry, and you should not get mold.

Mine don't get mold until maybe after a week, but they are usually gone by then. I'm lazy and just throw them in the fridge in the original container, use half and the rest are OK.
Maybe you need to look more closely at them before buying or buy from a different grocer:confused:

What type of strawberries? [ 1 Answers ]

I have decided to put in a raised strawberry patch next to my garden. I live in eastern PA and want to know the best ones to plant. I basically use them for dessert and jelly.:)
