    Ford diesel problems
    I have a 06 6.o ford diseal, and I'm having problems with it starting in cold weather and it takes it awhile to warm up, I changed all the fuel filters and the problem still exist, can anyone help?

    A lot of diesels have starting problems in extreme cold. Assuming you are not running on neat waste veg oil ( this is thicker than diesel and will not go through the pump) diesel will still thicken in cold weather. This cause the engine to crank slower, go through fuel filters slower. If you have not filled the tank for awhile, you may have summer diesel. You can get a block heater, very useful in cold climates. Keep the truck in a garage when not in use if you can. You can also buy fuel aditives like HEET ( red bottle) that help cold starting.
