    Ceiling fan light repair
I have a ceiling fan with a light kit. The fan still works fine. It looked like the pull chain switch was bad and I replaced it. The light still does not work. I bypassed the switch and wired directly and the light still does not work.
    What can I do?

Just a simple question, but did you check to make sure the bulb or bulbs were good before you re-wired?

It seems upon removal that the blue hotwire that goes from the source wire in the ceiling was missing. Apparently we had a houseguest that removed about an 8 inch length and took it with them. Sort of like someone taking home a towel from their motel. I replaced it with a new wire and it works just like new. Thanks to all.
