    It's been almost 2 months
I used to come on here daily when my girlfriend and I were having issues. Why she asked for space. Why she was acting weird. What does this mean. What does that mean.

Finally around thanksgiving after dating just under a year, it was cut off. The odd thing is because she broke up with me before, this second time didn't really effect me much. Yes I missed her. But did I miss the concept of her? The concept of having someone? So I came on more and more to read people's stories and to put a post of my own.

Well it's been 2 months. I haven't been on this site as much because I did the whole NC as soon as she said 'maybe we should just be friends.' I found out shortly after that when people asked her about me, she got very mad/upset, because I made it clear that I didn't want anything to do with her. Which, I think is funny, because she wanted it her way, to keep me around as a friend, but not be in a relationship, when I knew from experience that it would ONLY hurt me, and I was not going to sit around waiting for her to 'miss me' while I was there by her side, but if she missed me during NC, fine I would deal with that as it came.

So what have I done since that incident? I definitely connected with old friends. I started working out, which I really didn't before. And just recently I starting music lessons for an instrument I always wanted to play.

And the craziest thing? I FEEL AWWESOME. I don't have to 'wonder' what she's doing (LDR). I have thought about her from time to time, but when I did, I almost assured myself after thinking about everything on how it JUST wouldn't have worked out.

So for those of you who are in a breakup, break etc. Think about her coming back if you must, but in the interim, do stuff to keep yourself occupied. Say she comes back, fine, she's only going to enjoy you more because you have been busy doing other activities, maybe expanding your knowledge, and not just sitting there waiting around. If she doesn't come back, so what, you are ahead of the game. Regardless, as you keep yourself occupied and NC, you will forget about her. Emotions will settle. You will meet new people. Maybe that hot instructor and fitness coach. I thought it would take me a long time to get over her, because how strongly I felt about her. These extracurricular activities I have taken part in have definitely set my mind clear. It made me realize that I don't need her, that there will be someone that will WANT to be with me, and not say they need a break, some space, time apart, and all those other stupid lines girls give so they can basically see what else is out there, or do their single life.

Good story and good news man! It's amazing how much better our life becomes when we focus on the positives we have control over and not the negatives we don't. Congrats!

Haha thank you guys. KCTIGER it was some of your posts that I kept reading. No joke. And at the time I was like thinking no this girl is different. PSH. Get out of here. Ha.

It's crazy though the power of NC. And when they do contact you, and you don't do ANYTHING back, you get this feeling inside you, not like giving you the ball in the court or anything but just the fact that they are trying to get your attention and you will NOT give it to them. Makes you feel happy in a weird way, hahaha.

You now have control over your own life, feelings and destiny (you always had it, just didn't see it for a short period). It's like the feeling of freedom. A lot of us on here spew out methodical advice and sometimes, just sometimes, we know what we are talking about ;). Good luck buddy!
