    Menstration in young girls
    My girl just turned 10 on Thanksgiving 2009, and she started her period right before Christmas 2009. Iguess I knew this was coming soon since she started developing breasts at 8yrs in the 2nd grd. Next she started getting 'furry' everywhere! I wanted to call the dr. but I don't want to seem paranoid? Should I be? She has all the pms too, cranky grouchy, and emotional?

    Pretty normal. Girls are starting their periods younger these days. If it were any younger than 9 I would be concerned, but 10 is a starting age for many girls.

    Yes, many girls get it at 10 or younger, And of course many have started having sex. Read a few posts on here to find out how many 12 year olds are not only having sex but very activie about it.
