I have Gas Miller Furnace. I believe it was manufactured in 1999.

My problem starting just a couple of days ago, when I came home and my wife said it was freezing in the house. It was 56 degrees. We were both away from the house at work. It had obviously been off for several hours prior to us coming home. So, I turned the thermostat off then back on and the furnace kicked on. I set it for 68 degrees. About 7-8 mintues later the furnace kicked off with the temperature at 57 degrees. 3 or 4 minutes later it turns back on, on its own. Once again for about 5-7 mintues. I replaced the filters, still continued doing the same thing. I had a friend of mine who is an HVAC certified contractor come by and take a look. Everything to him appeared to be fine, he mentioned the flue may need to be re-done because it was going downward and not upward. The control LED light was blinking a code, but the code that it was blinking was not on the back of the panel. I decided to let it continue it's cycle for the night. The house stayed at 68 degrees all night long.

But tonight, I came home... The electricity in the living room would not work. Nor, the microwave in the kitchen, nor the dryer in the laundry room and of course the furnace had once again not been running for several hours. It was 58 degrees. Every other device, light, appliance, etc. in the house was working fine. I checked the breaker box, none of them had been tripped or in the off position. I flipped the switches hoping to reset... still no luck. 15 minutes later... frustrated I decided to flip the switches again... Everything comes on. I'm no genius when it comes to heating & electricity, but I got a feeling all of these issues are tied in to the same problem. Whatever that may be. The microwave, dryer, Furnace all on different breakers. Any ideas?? Anything would be helpful. I have an electrician coming by tomorrow morning, but I was curious as to what someone else may think. First of all your furnace should be on it's circuit. Next you may want to try installing a new breaker and put the furnace on a separate breaker.

You must have a manufactured or mobile home according to the furnace model number.If so and yours is a dubble wide unit look for the electrical problem at the electric splice box that is usually somewhere around what is called the marriage joint. The marriage joint is where the two sections of the unit are put together. Since the two sections have to be wired together many times the splices are not properly put together in this box.
