    Shower base installation
I am building a frameless shower enclosure on an MAAX acrylic base. The door has top and bottom pivots that required screws to be fastened in the ceiling (which is not a problem) and in the base. My concern is: The acrylic might not be thick enough to receive the bottom pivot screws. I thought to add a solid block under the pivot area (i.e. 2" high base, 3/16" tick acrylic, so I thought to add a 4" x 2" x 1 13/16" wood block under the pivot area. Good idea? Any other material suggestion for this block?
