Tub Waste & Overflow Has Tee At Shoe

My Waste and Overflow is a Tee . I need to replace it and can not find one like it at all. The tub is a older jacuzzi with a corner detail that has the oveflow offset from the waste line. The trap is below the shoe. The shoe is the tee. Who sells a tub shoe tee?

I bought an "Ezy Touch Plastic Bath Drain" and I'm installing it in a new bathtub. Do I need to use the PVC tape around the metal shoe strainer to 'screw' it in the plastic shoe elbow?
