    Dishwasher Air Gap

    Speedball1

I am new to this forum and signed up because of what you posted here earlier on this thread.

"We do not use DW air gaps in my area when we install a dishwasher in our new construction. Instead of cluttering up the cabinet top we loop the discharge hose up as high as we can under the cabinet and secure it with a pipe strap,(see image) It may then be connected to the disposal or a branch tailpiece. (see image). If you decide to use this method simply remove the old air gap and cover the hole with a chrome cock hole cover.(see image). "

May be I just don't know how it works, (or maybe the thread is too old) but I don't see the images and really need to see 'em.

CAN YOU HELP? I'm trying do do the loop you describe.

Thanks you guys. I have been married for a year, and I never noticed that the discharge water came out of the snorkle hose. That is until I set up a computer
With a wireless keyboard for her to look up recipes on the Internet. She always ran the dishwasher after we went to bed.
Keyboard got soaked because I turned the snorkle cap a little so it didn't all go in the sink.
I cleaned out the hose from the air gap to the garbage disposal and we shall see...
And I need to tell her to run it while we are awake.
