I am 75 and on Social Security how do I evict my 35 year old son who pays no rent?
My 35 year old son, his wife and child moved in with me 4 years ago promising to pay half utilities rent. I am 75 and on social security and own my home. My son nor his wife have work or bring in any money. They pay me 'NO' rent or utilities and if my son makes any money doing an odd job and pays me $20 toward electric... before the week is out they "borrow" it back and never do pay rent or utilities. I have asked them to leave many times before but they won't and the other day I told them they really needed to find a place of their own but they just said I would have to "evict" them before they would leave. Any suggestions? What are my rights? Please help?

Unfortunately you will have to legaly evict them through the court system. There is no other way to get rid of them. You need to go down to the Clerk's Office and fill out the proper paperwork. This is not free as there is a filing fee involved to file an eviction.
