    Connecting a 2 wire oil heater to Hunter 44260 thermostat
    I have an old 2 wire oil heater. I purchased a Hunter 44260 programmable thermostat and need to connect. I have a red and white wire coming out of the wall and a jumper from RC to RH terminal on the thermostat. We have the 2 wires from the wall contected red wire connected to the g Terminal and the white wire to the RH terminal.
    Now the heat and fan will not come on in Auto fan mode. It fan and heat will kick in if I drop the fan switch to run but fan and heat will run continuous. What have we done wrong?

    Old thermostat Brand and exact model number? Unless you marked the wires from where they came from on the old thermostat then post that.
