    Passing lemon size clots , changing pad twice a hour, it will stop then start again?
    I started my period and started passing huge clots some the size of golf balls to lemons, I am changing overnight pads every half an hour. I have some cramping and I am feeling a little light headed.I do have a really bad headache. I am not sexually active so I couldn't be pregnant. The blood is very bright red. This will last for a few hours, then it will completely stop for a while and it will start back up again. I usually have heavy periods and some clots but usually not this much. Mymom wants me to go to the emergency room but I hate waiting and it is new years day. I don't know what to do can someone help??

    I am a registered nurse in women's health, and I agree with your mom. You need to have this checked out. I always recommend that if you are changing a pad once an hour or more you should seek immediate medical attention.
