How do you remove an airlock from a one handle faucet in a bathtub.
I have a bathtub that has only been used once or twice in 7 years. I went to check the water today and the cold water runs fine but when I turn the one handle faucet to hot there is no water flow at all. This happened when I first moved in and the plumber said it was an airlock. How do I remove the airlock?

I don't think you have an air lock, what ever that is, I think you have a part in the faucet that is not doing what it should be doing.

If you will give me some info about the faucet maybe I can tell you what to do. What brand, how many handles does it have?

the plumber said it was an airlock. How do I remove the airlock
Your plumber's blowing smoke up your skirt. There's no such thing as airlock in a pressurized system. Air lock occurs when you're attempting to drain a system down and a faucet isn't opened to break the vacuum. Sort of like stopping off a straw full of water with your finger. Lift your finger to break vacuum and you have just broke the air lock. Either your plumber didn't have a clue or he didn't want to be bothered to open up the valve and clean out the trash that's blocking the hot inlet of your valve.
Because that's what the problem is.
Let us know the brand name of your tub valve and we can help. Back to you, Tom
Oh yes! And fire the lazy plumber!
