    Ceiling fan repair
I have an Encon celing fan & light fixture. The pull chain switch for the fan broke. I bought another one but apparently was not compatible, so it did not work. I live in the Bahamas and the switch I need is not available here.
Can I wire it without the pull chain switch to get just one speed setting? If so how?

Contact CeilingFanParts.com Home for the correct replacement switch.

If they won't ship to the Bahamas, I will personally deliver it if you pay my flight, hotel, and stay on the beach ;)

My fan operates properly in the reverse direction (counter clock-wise) but only hums in the forward direction (clock-wise). Is the directional switch malfunctioning or could it be something else? Figured that if it ran in reverse, the motor windings & capacitor are OK.

Hi there. I have a remote control (no pull) hampton bay ceiling fan. I originally hooked it up to a wall plug with a dimmer. Bad! It worked for a while until the little black box blew up!
